Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management Program

Over half of American adults are overweight or obese. A dietetics professional, trained to have a comprehensive knowledge of the field and management options, can enable long-term patient compliance and sustained success. This program is designed to produce providers of comprehensive weight management care who also know when and how to refer patients to other specialists. It is open to ADA members, RDs, and DTRs.

What's Involved?
These are four components to the Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management Program.

Online self-study module - 9 hours of reading and activities. Available on-line only. |

Pre-test - Participants must obtain 80% score to attend the on-site program. |
 |
On-site program - 2 1/2 day live workshop. Consists of lectures, table exercises and small group discussions. |
 |
Post-test - After successfully attending the 2 1/2 day live workshop, participants must pass a post-test to receive the certificate. Participants will ony be given one opportunity to pass the post-test. |
After successful completion of the four components, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management, suitable for framing.
Cost?
The registration fee is $345.00. Registration includes the self-study module, pre-test, 2 1/2 day on-site workshop and post-test. Meals are not included. Complimentary hot and cold beverages will be available throughout the program.
Additional Costs:
- A complimentary copy of the on-site handouts will be available for downloading within five (5) days of the program. A paper copy of the handouts can be purchased at an additional cost of $25.00.
- A $25.00 cancellation fee will apply once the registration has been processed.
- A Lunch and Learn with the Faculty Event will be held on the 2nd day of the program. Tickets are available at a cost of $35.00.
- In the rare instance you do not pass the pre-test, a refund will be provided minus a $50.00 fee for the nine (9) CPE hours that will be awarded for completing the pre-test and module.
