Philippines Reciprocity

Individuals registered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines will be eligible to take either CDR’s registration examination for dietitians or registration examination for dietetic technicians depending on their highest degree earned. Upon submission of an application form accompanied by the following documentation, individuals will be approved for exam eligibility. Reciprocity will only be extended to individuals who completed all certification requirements (didactic, supervised practice, and examination) in the Republic of the Philippines.

Required Documentation:

  • Application Form- individuals will need to download and complete all components of the application form.
  • Verification Statement: issued by the PRC confirming that an individual is actively registered by the PRC in the Philippines. All individuals requesting a Verification Statement for the Registered Dietitians credential from the PRC must submit to the PRC documentation verifying the completion of at least two years of experience in any field related to nutrition and dietetics.
  • Foreign Degree Evaluation
    • Registration Examination for Dietitians (RD exam): A foreign degree evaluation confirming that the individual has completed a minimum of a graduate degree granted by a university in the Philippines and equivalent to a graduate degree granted by a university accredited by a United States Department of Education (USDE) recognized accrediting agency.
    • Registration Examination for Dietetic Technicians (DTR exam): A foreign degree evaluation confirming that the individual has completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree granted by a university in the Philippines and equivalent to a two-year college degree in an approved dietetics program accredited by a USDE recognized accrediting agency.
