“Do I have a minimum of 2,000 hours of work experience in obesity and weight management within the past five years?”

Eligibility Requirements for RD or RDNs:
- Maintenance of the RD or RDN credential for a minimum of two years.
- Documentation of 2,000 hours of specialty practice experience in obesity and weight management.
Practitioner Definition:
CSOWMs are health professionals who educate, support, and advocate for patients and clients to understand and manage their weight and associated risks through the use of nutritional, behavioral health, medical, surgical, pharmacotherapeutic, and exercise and physical activity interventions.
Earn continuing education:
Passing the CSOWM exam provides 75 CPEUs!
